You are cordially invited to participate in either or both of the two parades at the Tipton County Pork Festival on September 9th 10th and 11th of 2010. Note: There is no band Competition. Visiting marching bands will be paid.
Kick-Off Parade - Thursday, September 9th
The Kick-off Parade, to mark the official opening of the Pork Festival will be Thursday, September 9th at 5:30 p.m. This parade is open to all who wish to participate. Features will be pigs, clowns, local bands, youth groups. Pageant contestants as well as our Patriotic Units. Cash prizes will be awarded to the best entries in various categories. Staging begins @ 4:00 p.m. Again, this year there will be a limit of five bands in the Kick-Off Parade- NO ENTRY FEE FOR THURS. PARADE.

Grand Parade - Saturday, September 11th
The Grand Parade will be Saturday, September 11th @ 2:00 p.m.
The Grand Parade will be judged with Cash prizes. The Grand Parade will begin forming at 12:30 p.m. Saturday at the Tipton Elementary School parking lot. Again, this year there will be a limit of seven bands in this parade. Please return Applications ASAP. Again, all welcome!!

Equestrian groups are welcome, but we ask that you provide clean-up for your horses. There is a $20.00 entry fee for all Political and Business entries for Sat. parade only.
Please make checks payable to the Tipton Pork Festival. All awards and band checks will be sent through the mail. Please make sure there is an address where this can be sent. If no address is available the award becomes the property of the Pork Festival.
